FAQ’s

What is involved in the fitting process?

A trained employee will analyze your foot structure and assess any problems that you may have or are currently experiencing, take into account what you will be using the shoe for, and recommend a shoe or shoes that will best fit you. The ultimate decision is up to you and your feet.

Do you need to make an appointment?

No appointment is necessary. Each person is worked with on a first come first serve basis. Please take a number as you walk in to insure everyone gets a fair turn. “If this is your first time in, we request you come in no later than 30 minutes before closing to ensure adequate time for your fitting.”

Do we make orthotic inserts for shoes?

No, we do not make custom made orthotics, but we do provide you with over the counter insoles commonly recommended by medical professionals.

Do you take insurance?

We are a retail store. We do not take medical insurance, even if a doctor has recommended that you be fitted by us.

How long does the fitting process take?

The fitting process is determined on an individual need basis. On average it can take from 20-30 minutes.

If I just need to get the same shoe that has worked for me, do I have to wait to be fitted again?

If the shoe has been updated, which commonly occurs six to nine months after the shoe has been launched, we strongly recommend that you be refit. If the shoe is the exact same, you would not need to be fitted again.

If my feet have been cast for an orthotic, should I be fitted for shoes first, or wait until I have the orthotic in hand?

The orthotic may change the way a shoe fits on your feet, so we would need to have the orthotic to fit the shoes properly.
